Excellent Breakfast Great for Overnight Stay

"The place was homely, and well kept, with pretty in season garden flower arrangements front of house. The rooms were clean, had TV, good storage & tea making facilities, & lovely real lighting with lots of power points, a lot more comfortable and practical than initial first impressions might reveal! Though located dead centre of the bustling town there was no sound of traffic or noise up in the rooms.

The breakfast experience was a real treat, with a great buffet display of juices, cereals, real fresh cut fruit (not tinned), stewed apple, & summer berries, yogurts, home made museli, nuts, seeds, an excellent real cheese board, cold meats, freshly baked mini croissants and danish pastries & brown bread and home made jams, all alongside a mainly locally sourced hot breakfast menu. We didnt go to the bar or dine there in the evening, or so cant comment on that, but would i go back - I most definitely will!

A little Gem

"I felt compelled to write a review having a beautiful meal in the bar tonight. I don't write much reviews, but felt this ace deserves one. Someone complained on trip advisor about no parking- your in Connemara what we're you expecting - a mutistorey?? There is ample Street parking anyway right outside the door for free. Rooms are cosy and clean.

There is a real cosy, home feel about this hotel, and the bar/restaurant is really pretty with a wood burning stove in front. Food is excellent and the owners and staff are lovely people. I highly recommend staying here if you go to Connemara....you won't regret it...

It's a real Gem, I stay in a lot of hotels and this has great character and a real Irish home feel, which is hard to find these days!!”

Evening meal

"Called in today for dinner and chose from the early bird menu. The food was perfect and was reasonably priced at €21.50 for three courses. Children's meal were just €7 and again there were no complaints. All the food was presented well and was piping hot! No complaints whatsoever from 3 adults and 2 children!"

Very good food

"Stopped in here on our way back from clifden for some dinner and we're not disappointed, I had steak and chowder which were both top class and very big portions. My wife had a prawn starter and the fish and chips which she really enjoyed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The place itself is very nice and cosy, I would definitely recommend going here as everything was perfect”

A great place to take it easy and disconnect

"My husband and our 2 young children stayed one night in the hotel. We enjoyed a spacious family room that was clean and tidy, quiet, and the kids got to watch loads of TV as there was one in our room. We loved that there was no phone or clock in the room and that the beds were amazingly comfortable as were the pillows. We would absolutely stay here again!"
